Information About Me For Make Benefit Of Glorious Readers
Welcome! My name is Daan Jansonius. I am 24 years old, born in Arnhem, the Netherlands.
I’ve lived in Oosterbeek for most of my life and I still do, although I will be moving back to Bournemouth, UK in October to finish my BA Marketing degree at the Media School, Bournemouth University.
My first real step into the world of the internet was to sign up to a Liverpool FC community. After years of posting on there me and a few friends decided to launch our own community, Talklfc.com. Here I learned about the importance of building and harnessing a community and how to do it.
I’ve also done the online marketing for a night club in Bournemouth.
As part of my degree I have been on a 40 week long placement at online marketing agency Onetomarket.
Here I learned about blogging, social media marketing, search engine marketing and pretty much every other facet of the online marketing arsenal. Personally I focussed on PPC campaigns and social media marketing.
Thanks to the great example set by some of my colleagues I decided to start blogging. I started with Taxidriver Marketing and have also guest posted on Ad Age Power Top 150 listed site called Viralblog.
Recently I decided I wanted to make a fresh start, Taxidriver Marketing had lost its focus and I felt the name didn’t accurately depict what I was writing about. So all my posts, marketing related as well as personal will be placed on Daan Jansonius.com.
I will be using this site to build my personal brand as online marketer, to share my knowledge and resources with fellow students and use it as a framework for the final year of my degree.
