Daan Jansonius’s Summary

I am currently in my third year of a BA Marketing degree. The third year consists of a 40 week long placement, which I am currently working on at Onetomarket - a digital media agency.

My main focus on placement is at the Search Engine Advertising department, but I am also involved in various marketing projects.

I have a keen interest in new media, the internet, social media and viral marketing, which is why I decided to start my placement at Onetomarket and which is also why I have taken up a role as guest blogger at Viralblog.

My current goals are to gain more work experience within the online marketing world, build my own online profile and try and gain a foothold withing this world. Further down the line I hope to graduate from university, possibly follow a Masters degree program and start a successful career in the (online) marketing world.

I worked for both the SEA and Marketing department. In my role at the SEA department I assisted the SEA consultants, wrote reports, set up new campaigns/accounts and monitored campaigns for various clients.

My main responsibility within the marketing department was the company weblog (blog.onetomarket.nl). This includes internal/external promotion, educating staff about the benefits of blogging and the specific goals and task of Onetomarket's weblog and stimulate employees into writing blog articles.
